Dr. Sepehr Zandi is a Boulder chiropractor focused on helping patients move better, recover from injuries, and maintain long-term physical health. At Zandi Chiropractic, treatment is built around understanding how the body moves as a system. Instead of focusing only on symptoms, care is designed to address the underlying mechanical causes of pain.
Dr. Zandi earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2011. During his clinical training, he treated patients ranging from newborn infants to individuals in their nineties. His dedication to patient care earned him the Health Center Achievement Award for Exemplary Clinical Performance and Excellence.
Dr. Zandi has now been in practice for 15 years, with 13 of those years serving the Boulder community. His practice today serves a wide range of individuals throughout Boulder and surrounding Colorado communities. Patients include athletes, active professionals, families, and individuals looking for thoughtful, evidence-based chiropractic care.
Sports Rehabilitation and Clinical Experience
While completing his doctoral training, Dr. Zandi was selected as a Senior Intern at the BIOFREEZE® Rehabilitation Center. There he worked closely with athletes and sports programs, assisting with rehabilitation and training across multiple sports including basketball, soccer, cross-country, football, swimming, cycling, and triathlon.
This experience helped shape his approach to care — one that focuses on biomechanics, functional movement, and injury prevention. Rather than treating pain alone, the goal is to restore efficient movement patterns and long-term resilience.
During his time working in Colorado Springs, Dr. Zandi also became the first chiropractor to work with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Collaborating with strength coaches and sports professionals provided deeper insight into the relationship between movement, strength, and injury prevention.
Over the years, Dr. Zandi has also had the opportunity to work with professional and collegiate sports programs, helping train sports medicine providers on treating complex injuries. Through his teaching and clinical work, he has collaborated with 20 Major League Baseball teams, 4 NFL teams, and more than a dozen Division I collegiate programs, educating physical therapists and athletic trainers on advanced approaches to injury treatment and recovery.
Fascial Distortion Model Instructor
Dr. Zandi is also a national instructor for the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM). Since 2013, he has taught thousands of healthcare practitioners across the country including chiropractors, physical therapists, and sports medicine providers.
Through this work, he has helped clinicians better understand and treat complex pain patterns and soft-tissue injuries. Teaching and collaborating with sports medicine teams has allowed him to remain closely connected to cutting-edge injury management and performance care.
Active Release Technique
Following graduation, Dr. Zandi trained directly under Dr. Mike Leahy, founder of Active Release Techniques (ART). Dr. Leahy is widely regarded as one of the leading experts in soft-tissue treatment worldwide.
Active Release Technique is a specialized soft-tissue therapy designed to treat conditions affecting muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Many common conditions — including headaches, back pain, shoulder injuries, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, and carpal tunnel syndrome — stem from overused or restricted soft tissue.
By combining precise manual pressure with guided movement, ART helps break down scar tissue, restore mobility, and improve overall function.
Animal Chiropractic
After watching one of his dogs age rapidly and become stiff and arthritic, Dr. Zandi decided to go back to school to learn how to treat animals. He became a board-certified animal chiropractor, allowing him to care for dogs, horses, and other animals using the same biomechanical principles he applies to human patients.
Animal chiropractic focuses on restoring normal joint motion and nervous system function, helping animals move better, recover from injury, and maintain long-term mobility and quality of life.
Nervous System and Whole-Body Health
Dr. Zandi approaches chiropractic care from a true whole-body perspective. Movement, tissue health, and the nervous system are all deeply connected.
The nervous system controls how the body responds to stress, heals from injury, and regulates pain. When joints lose normal motion, it can create irritation within the nervous system and disrupt the body's ability to regulate itself.
Chiropractic adjustments help restore normal joint movement and reduce stress on the nervous system. Many patients notice not only improvements in pain and mobility, but also benefits such as better sleep, improved recovery, reduced tension, and an overall sense of greater physical and mental balance.
Life Outside the Clinic
Outside the clinic, Dr. Zandi enjoys spending time with his children, coaching their activities, and staying active outdoors. He loves mountain biking, skiing, camping, and exploring the Colorado mountains.
Many of his favorite adventures involve camping and exploring the outdoors with his kids and their two dogs, Luna and Ollie.
